Ancient Egyptian wooden toe

A wooden toe strapped to a mummy is being hailed as the oldest prosthesis ever found.
Sporting a leather device and engraved with a toe nail, the artifact is thought to have belonged to an ancient Egyptian high priest’s daughter, Tabaketenmut, who may have lost her big toe to gangrene caused by diabetes.
The toe is one of two artifacts, dating from before 600 BC  at the University of Manchester
